Released in autumn 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is a spiced rum-based spirit and is so-called because some of the rums are matured in ex-bourbon oak casks. Notes of brown sugar, honey and burnt vanilla custard with a short, lightly cinnamony finish.
Bacardi's premium rum release, the 8 year old is blended with rums aged for between 8 and 16 years. The nose is fresh and perfumed with notes of oak and peels, a little syrup with a fennel note. The palate is sweet and rich with tropical fruits, peels and winter spice. The finish is gentle and luscious.
