In 1924, the Boston Herald announced a contest to coin a term for those who were knowingly breaking the law by drinking during Prohibition. "Scofflaw" was the winner. Many physicians at that time were the most notorious of "Scofflaws". Our bourbon pays homage to those early rebels. Made with Corn, Wheat, Malt and Rye, then aged over 4 years in new charred American Oak barrels with 20 lbs of charred oak cubes added at barreling and bottled at 107 proof, creating a highly complex and intensely flavorful bourbon with plenty of oak tannins.
